Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Jason Rose was more than a professor, he truly cares about each of his students. This class is more than learning to sail, and shows that not all classes have to be a lecture in a classroom.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was obviously sailing, but the main highlight for me was the entire class taking the yacht, Princess Ella, out on the water. The class worked together as a whole, to steer the boat, act as "bait" when we had to rush back and almost tipped, pumped water out when we started capsizing, and everything in between. I learned how to be a leader, to be confident in my actions, and I learned so many things about myself that I never knew.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When there are different days to sail, go to every single one - you'll miss it so much when the class is over. Really pay attention when they teach you how to raise the sails the first time, because you need to take initiative to raise the sheets and help clean up when the day is done.
