Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is difficult at the beginning when talking about the resonanace and organic structures. but it turns out to be pretty straight forward in the following days. The midterms are not very hard but still need to take some time to study. The final is cumulative but since you have learned a lot in the past two midterms, it is Ok to go to the final easily.

    Course highlights:

The professor is very funny. There was a time when he cooked a pie in the class for us. At the beginning he simply dropped every thing inside a pot and then put it under the desk. Then he took a pot of pie up . He told us that he already cooked one at home. We were all tricked but it is funny.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

One important thing to take this class is to always do the readings. There are many small assignments but it would be good if you just do it day by day. There are a few big assignments but with the knowledge you have learned before, you will be OK to pass them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course gives a great introduction to students who want to pursue a career in the medical field. Professor Raineri truly wants to help the class as he explains each question step-by-step. The work is not too heavy, but thorough understanding of the content is necessary. The content may seem confusing at first, but after understanding it by reading the book and doing the homework will guarantee a feeling of success.

    Course highlights:

The topic on thermodynamics was most interesting to me since it did not require too much calculation, but required more knowledge of conceptual information. By taking this course, I realized that chemistry is not just about knowing how to do mathematical problems, but it is also about knowing chemistry concepts. It is important to know that the material in this course may be relevant to many career fields, so understanding the concepts will benefit you in the future.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Completing all of the homework assignments and redoing them is crucial for a good grade. There will be practice test given before an exam, so doing them is also important since similar questions will appear on the exam. TAs are usually available to go over all the questions in the practice exams.
