    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course work is very easy at the start but it hits a spike and gets more challenging. The later on material is all memorization, plus the concepts learned earlier in the semester.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to compose a cohesive basic piece of music by the end of the semester. Expect two papers that will analyze separate concerts.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you learned an instrument before, this course is a breeze. (only memorization at the end.)

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is fun and easy to learn.

    Course highlights:

I loved performing a diminished triad on the piano. I learned various notes and the different beautiful sounds that are produced from the notes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and go to the professor during office hours if you don't understand something.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it, only if you have musically knowledge. I did not but, i had the best professor i could ask for. He was very diligent in trying to get me to learn, and very willing to help. The class was a little hard for me, because I had no past musical experience, but I would recommend it if you want to learn about music, need a easy grade, or just like music overall.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were going to a symphony, and listening to the Professor play the piano for listening examples in class. I learned the basics of music. Naming notes, naming lines, naming clefs, etc. all in preperation to write our own symphony.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours if you are struggling. Ask a lot of questions if you don't understand, do the homework because it really helps.
