Professor Kelley is, in my opinion, an expert on-line professor. She is very involved with all of the students. She makes threaded discussions a priority and the interaction between students makes the learning experience a definite group project. Abnormal Psychology covers a lot of ground and Professor Kelley highlights the portions of the course which will best benefit the student.
I want to be a crisis counselor for teens. This course goes into great detail when pinpointing various aspects of what is considered "abnormal". The text is not overly clinical and is written so that the student never loses interest in the subject matter. This course concreted my decision to work with teens in crisis.

Read, read, read. Professor Kelley encourages students to pull from outside sources. She encourages students to pull from their own experiences. If a student is leaning towards counseling as a career choice this is a great start.
