    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is required for early childhood education majors. It involves way too much writing, with tons of essays and buddy guides. The class hardly involves any mathematics. It is all about the process a child takes to solve a problem and the different standards and vacabulary.

    Course highlights:

I learned the mathematical standards for Georgia and I learned various strategies a student might conduct.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be very thorough in your writing and make things up instead of excluding something if your buddy did not exhibit all the right strategies. My buddy had very bad behavior problems. He was not present a lot because of a suspension and cutting class. He was in second grade but could hardly do math at a kindergarten level. I could not do many of the assignments well because he never showed progress or any strategies. Do not bother asking your professor for help because they do not care. You are stuck with the same child no matter what.
