    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I had never enjoyed an English class before and this class made me really enjoy it. My biggest concern in English is writing and I have never gotten a good grade in an essay before, but, in this class, we were encouraged to write not as a scholar but as yourself; show some personality in your writing. I think that this helped me write better. Another thing about this class that I loved was the presentations we had to do. I hated doing presentations in high school because of my terrible stage fright, but we had to do so many in this course that I got over it and I'm very thankful for that.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights were presentations because I would learn a lot even if I hadn't read the book.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do your work and don't slack on it. Have fun while doing it and don't be afraid to do something creative and totally absurd.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a class that is required for graduation for most majors. It wasn't a difficult course with my professor but, I also took this class as a high school dual enrollment course.

    Course highlights:

We read a lot during this course, and wrote a bunch of papers. It can also include a few power points and many group discussions. It is moderately difficult, but definitely worth taking.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read your textbook a lot, and make sure you understand the text. The essays go thoroughly into what you read so make sure to understand the background behind the text, figurative language, and the author's purpose for the text.
