    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Mihm is an awesome teacher who knows a lot about pre-1865 history. His lectures were always interesting.

    Course highlights:

Learning about all the battles during the Revolutionary War were fascinating!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading is required because there are several pop quizzes throughout the semester. This class is also writing intensive with several short 2-4 page papers and one final 8 page paper.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor breaks it down in a way that is easy to understand and interesting. I also like the breakout section with the TA.

    Course highlights:

I really liked the beginning where we learned about the discovery of America and then on to the War for Independence. The book we read called the Slave Ship was also very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study for the exams weeks in advance if you want to get an A. You need to know pretty much everything on the study guide because you don't know what he will ask.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I hated learning history before I took this course. It really opened my eyes to the many things our country has experienced and I have a new found love for history thanks to Dr. Frazier.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights throughout this course were the elaborate and well-prepared lessons that Dr. Frazier had prepared for us. I took this class online so it really helped having a professor who cared about your learning and he was also great with giving feedback.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You will definitely need the textbook to pass this class. I would encourage students to have an open mind when going into this class because the information is very interesting and it helps you further understand how our country go to be how it is today.
