Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

His classes are heavily lecture based with 2 essays and 2 test being the only BIG assignments of the class. This might scare some students, but if you're a strong writer and are an auditory learner then this class is really for you.

    Course highlights:

Mr. Winshop is very funny and knowledgeable in the subject. The ease that he goes about teaching makes it seem easy to learn which helped me a lot. Although this is my second time going to through an American History class, it seems that the professor seems to bring up some facts that make the subject even more interesting.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to lectures, participate in break-out sessions, and don't let history stress you out. It's just a long story that eventually ends with you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who has to take history 2112. Professor Wolf doesn't speed through her lectures and she actually interacts with the class. Before both midterms and the final, Professor Wolf would post a study guide online. These study guides contained all of the possible terms and essay questions that would be on the test. I believe that these study guides helped me pass the tests because I was able to familiarize myself with everything before I sat down to take the test.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the break out sessions that were held every Friday. There would only be about 20 of us in a classroom with our assigned TA. It was a time where we could ask questions and review things more in depth. We would also be able to have group discussions, which I found to be very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to make sure that you keep up with the syllabus every day because every assignment is on it. The deadlines for the Oral History paper are also on it. You also need to make a sure that you read before every class period because there are a lot of mini quizzes at the beginning of class. However, if you do not have time to read, make sure you at least study the terms that are listed on the review.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Mihm is an awesome teacher who knows a lot about pre-1865 history. His lectures were always interesting.

    Course highlights:

Learning about all the battles during the Revolutionary War were fascinating!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading is required because there are several pop quizzes throughout the semester. This class is also writing intensive with several short 2-4 page papers and one final 8 page paper.
