Getting better. Still lots of white, middle-class kids, but there seems to be a deliberate attempt to foster diversity at UGA. I've certainly met lots of different people. Not a whole lot of diversity in the Greek system though.
There are lots of great restaurants in Athens. Downtown Athens features lots of local spots to eat hamburgers, pizza and even fancy New Orleans cuisine.I have really enjoyed living off-campus. It is much cheaper than living in dorms on campus.

Usually the cost of these restaurants is a big higher than normal, but you are paying for the experience as well. The Last Resort is one of the most popular local spots, featuring truly delicious southern food and delicious desserts.
