    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because Professor Newman is a down-to-earth person and is willing and able to help students during class, during office hours, and also through email. He makes the class fun!

    Course highlights:

I thoroughly enjoyed class lectures because we spent the majority of the time having fun while learning. We would catch ourselves laughing and learning at the same time. Professor Newman understood that the information is difficult to understand at times and did not mind breaking it down to us.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, you should always do the homework, complete practice assignments and quizzes, go to office hours, and attend as many classes as possible. As long as you do your best in everything that he gives you, you should be fine!

    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not the best professor for first time calc students. I struggled all year and had to visit a tutor daily just to keep up.

    Course highlights:

He wants to help you with grading but still struggled all semester long.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Choose a different professor to be honest. You will have a better chance then.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Sometimes his way of teaching made a lesson more confusing than it needed to be, while other times it was clear. He tries to make sure you understand.

    Course highlights:

The chapter on anti derivatives was the highlight of this course for me. This was because by this point I finally realized the importance of using all available resources in order to study.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study for, and actually do the homework, using online help is okay but do so in moderation.
