    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Prof. Bhandakar is GREAT TEACHER! Do not let anyone tell you otherwise, however a good grade in this course is earned, not given. You get what you give and you must put in a lot of time and effort to achieve in this course, but I doubt there is an accounting teacher in the entire state of Georgia better equipped to prepare you for the real world than Prof. Bhandakar.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course would were the feelings of satisfactions when getting questions right on the given practice exams, I learned so much about general accounting from taking this course it sparked my interest in actually majoring in accounting myself, from general ledgers to the rules of credits and debits.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If considering this course, make sure that you will have the time and energy to put a large amount of your focus into this class. Extracurricular activities, hanging out, staying out late all come last when it comes to this course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It provides a great foundation for how to be successful in the business world.

    Course highlights:

I learned that accounting is not just about crunching numbers. I was able to understand how accounting is the language of business. I saw how many of the topics applied to real life such as taxes and dealing with liabilities.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to study the material everyday for at least an hour. That is the advice the professor gave and it helped me a lot.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it was extremely challenging and it taught me a better way to study for my other classes. At the beginning of the course my teacher taught us the best way to study for her class and it was extremely helpful in my transition to my new business classes.

    Course highlights:

Apart from journals and accounting problems, I learned the best way to study for a class is by printing off notes and skimming through them before class. I also learned that it is more important to understand what the teacher is saying in class then taking that information and teaching yourself outside of class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to listen to exactly what the teacher recommends as a studying tactic at the beginning of the class. The best way to learn is to teach yourself and to be taught by others. You should never choose one or the other and hope that it would be the best option.
