Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has been an exciting course to take as I love learning history, philosophy, as well as financial related topics.

    Course highlights:

This course, unlike other business related courses, required not only memorization but it required actually committing facts to memory so that the tests would come easier. I learned several philosophers beliefs as well as their reasoning for these beliefs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are willing to put in the effort, then this course is challenging but interesting at the same time. I would recommend studying everyday for an hour or two just to make sure these ideas are well known.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Capitalism 4050 with Dr. Netter was phenomenal learning experience for me. Many students go into finance 4050 with presuppositions that it is a more traditional finance class which are typically quantitative in nature. Finance 4050 however has more in common with a philosophy course than a math class. The class gives you a great opportunity to understand the origins of capitalism as well as its praises and critiques. Dr. Netter is great the test can be tricky but if you do the reading and go to class you will make a good grade. I would definitely recommend this class to any student who has a desire to learn more about the society they live in.

    Course highlights:

One of my favorite elements of the class was how we got to relate principals and theories of philosophers of the past to current events such as the election.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important advice I could give folks taking this class is to go to class. Each class you miss usually equals to about 1 to two missed questions on the test. He says a lot of things that are not in the powerpoint or readings. There is a lot of information thrown at you in the class so what helped me do well on the test was taking all the information and organizing it into a study guide.
