Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

There are definitely rules and policies that are enforced here but the administration isn't too strict on us.Downtown is walking distance from campus. There is the campus transit that takes you anywhere on campus.

    Course highlights:

Athens is the poorest county in Georgia, so it is scary for girls sometimes. But otherwise it is fine. Just got to be smart. There are a mix of so many different people! They are all willing to work together. Especially cheering on the football team on Saturdays.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's no Ivy League school, but I don't worry too much about the job market once I get a degree. I find the workload challenging, yet manageable, never insane. College is college, you gotta work.Athens is incredibly. Tons of things to do. Never feel bored.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

if you are applying to a graduate school or medical school and you and another person from a small school have the exact same GPA and tests scores, UGA will be picked first 90% of the time.

    Course highlights:

Some of the courses are fascinating but there are others that you count down every single minute until that class ends. The majority of the science professors are stand offish and not that helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

All labs are typically taught by TA's which they are often more lenient than professors would be. There are classes on basically any subject that you can think of-- seriously, there's a class on sea monsters. They offer a lot of things that are worthwhile to take.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Most of my professors have been really nice and helpful. I also am a Music Major so I don't have too many 300 person classes. AVOID CHEMISTRY IF YOU CAN. I have to take it for my Biology Major and it is really hard, so if you have to take it, be sure to study a lot for it so you can do well. I don't like the inverted classroom style that the large lectures do.

    Course highlights:

Again, I am a music major, so my career prospects won't really flourish for me until I go to grad school. Chances of getting a job in Biology are pretty high I think, and a degree from here is valuable

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I am in a sorority, but I wouldn't consider myself a typical sorority girl. There are a lot of opportunities for parties. People go out all of the time. I don't think that the non-Greeks like Greek people in general, but my non-Greek friends haven't said anything particularly bad about Greek life, just that it wasn't for them. Sophomores live in the house.
