    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I already had a lot of simple knowledge about public speaking, how to do research for a speech (or paper), and how to write good speeches (or papers). I felt like I had nothing to gain from taking this course, and I was right. It was a very easy course if that is what you are looking for, but as an introductory course, I feel like it in no way helped me learn more about public speaking or get engaged in the subject matter. I have some public speaking experience, and honestly I am very passionate about public speaking, but this class made me detest it.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to encourage other students better when they are nervous or even when they aren't. I do not feel like I learned anything public-speaking related, but that is probably because I already had some experience in that area.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you get a TA that you enjoy because you spend more time with your TA than your professor. Practice your speeches once or twice because that helps you seem prepared even if you are nervous.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed going to class because Dr. Hallsby was a phenomenal teacher. The course seemed tough at first, but he will gladly work with any student to organize their speeches to fit the assignment. He genuinely cares about the students and wants them to succeed.

    Course highlights:

Very helpful course that will definitely prepare you for the future even if not pursing public speaking. .

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Quizzes are directly from the text hes there to help if you have a question.
