Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor's help you grow in confidence when speaking Spanish, often times I would feel uncomfortable saying certain words because I felt I was botching them.

    Course highlights:

This course allows you to not only learn how to speak Spanish but it helps you understand why Spanish is so important and why it is such a prominent language to learn. One of my favorite things was digging into the culture aspect as well and how this language derived.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open to learn, and do not give up to easily. If you need help, never be afraid to ask.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because it isn't too fast paced. The professor is very understanding. Even though some students came into the course knowing a bit of Spanish, it was okay that I hadn't.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight of this course is the professor. He is very fun and lively. He gives out points for participation and will work with you to fix your grades and absences. This course made me realize that I can no longer take 8 am classes because I have learned that I am not a morning person.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to keep up with your homework on MySpanishLab. Also, make sure to study vocabulary words, conjugations, and sentence structure regularly because the subjects you learn in the next two courses will build off the things you learned in SPAN 1001. You will have to take at least two more Spanish classes to fill UGA's language requirement.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because of how enjoyable and enriching it is. Dr. Chavez is very friendly and helpful. The quizzes are not difficult if you put adequate study time in. take this class!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this class is being able to learn while getting to know your classmates around you. Spanish requires continuous communication with the students around you through oral group quizzes and in class conversations. I learned a lot of vocab as well as beginner grammar to get me ready for next semester's new grammar.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to learn the vocab in the chapter before you get to class, stay ahead on the MySpanishLab assignments, and use the tutorials on MySpanishLab to stay ahead on the grammar.
