Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because Dr. Farmer alone is an awesome professor and very helpful and understanding. Also his tests are pretty fair as long as you attend lecture regularly-book not needed.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about the different periods during the different eras and what happened when and why that certain event happened (ex: Cambrian radiation or the end of the Jurassic period). In the second part of the course we discussed biodiversity and population genetics, which was a little more tough but still interesting to learn. In the third part of the course we talked immensely about vaccines vs antibiotics and different diseases that were/are haunting the world. Only downfall was that you need a lot of time for this course since there is a lot of extra work that goes into your grade (homework-"simbio", "ITN"(group work) every week, etc.) Very helpful for tests and definitely for your grade at the end, but a little time consuming.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Most of the test comes straight from lecture, so ATTEND LECTURE ALWAYS. Take really detailed notes while he lectures, maybe even record the lectures just incase you miss something important while writing something else. Go over notes after class and do NOT wait until the night before to study.. did it before, not good - way too much information.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    I got a C because I only passed 3 out of 5 quizzes.

    Course highlights:

You have to read the text but mainly understand the diagrams.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

And lastly if you don't take notes from the powerpoint, you're screwed.
