Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to incoming freshmen as it helps with higher classes when you have to present. Besides that, and the fact that COM 101 is a requirement, Professor Kuriyama is an amazing teacher who will make you laugh. Even if you don't like public speaking, you will enjoy the class due to the valuble life lessons you may learn.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of communication and speech making. I learned about not objectifying people, and that we make connections with everyone around us, and those connections may wither, but they never truly break.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Participate; it will make your speeches less awkward, and Mrs. Kuriyama won't let you goof off in her class. Listen to what she has to say, it might change your world.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class has a great atmosphere, and Dr. Mattos is amazing at teaching

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was at the ending of Fall Semester. We as a class had a project that counted more than half of our grade. The project was a BreakOut Scenario (search BreakOut Waikiki), and we had to use communication tools that we learned throughout the semester.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always be engaged with Dr. Mattos, she is an amazing teacher. Always review your notes because she does ask question the next following day.
