    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Newcomer's methods are not the epitome of lecture hall learning, which is not always good for students to try to learn from. However, she offers some easy bonus points and is incredibly respectful and understanding.

    Course highlights:

What I learned best were the later chapters when the subject matter became more tangible, like intracellular processes. However, the beginning of this course is chemistry--not my strong suit--so it was much more difficult for me. The beginning consisted of identifying phosphate groups and nucleotides and knowing molecular structures and things of that nature.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly recommend that one reads through the textbook and powerpoints for this course and does the online activities on Mastering Biology as well. I also recommend doing looking through your notes after class and attending Supplementary Instruction sessions.

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Great professor, very interesting and clear lectures and keeps your attention by adding a little bit of humor.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was definitely learning about cell membrane permeability. I learned about diffusion, osmosis, active and passive transport, and I could go on for hours. :)

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always attend the lectures, you don't want to miss the inclass information and examples.
