    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Latoya Paul is an amazing biology professor. You will truly comprehend everything she is teaching you and you are guaranteed an A if you go to class, study, and do all the work she asks you to do.

    Course highlights:

I have learned and remember medulla oblongata till this day because she referenced it to a Kanye west verse in "I make her" say by Kid Cudi.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of group discussions and quizzes, go to the SI sessions as well because she will be guaranteed an A.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to students because the curriculum and learning experience is one I feel, all majors will need to have mastered to be successful in the workforce upon competition of College.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of this course is what it taught me. I came to LSU having never made a B ever in school (Elem, Middle, and High). I also entered LSU in the Fall of 2016 as a Gates Scholar and several other prestigious scholarships. This course was the most challenging of all of my first semester courses and my grade wasn't the best. However, my instructor delivered the information as it should be and I learned exactly how I have to study to be able to be as successful in college as I have been in my prior school year studies. I am thankful to have experienced the lows in my first semester. It will never affect me again. I am determined to be successful in everything that I set out to accomplish. Due to me not receiving the grade I attempted to, I decided to enroll in it again this semester and repeat and delete that grade in order to have the GPA I will be happy with.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students entering this course is, "Students, make sure you are present in class, taking notes each day whether you think you need it or not, develop a relationship with the instructor and classmates, and regardless to how hard it may seem or actually be, NEVER GIVE UP!!!"

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class only to non-majors. I do this because Latoya isn't very strong at explaining in detail and tends to be highly scattered when it comes to her lectures.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course would have to be our lectures on evolution. With these lectures, you could tell Latoya is passionate about the subject. Her passion for this subject increases her drive to have students truly understand, process, and learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend purchasing the textbook. Also, you should take notes in class, then use those notes to go through the book and learn the subject matter. I found this the best way to learn and excel in Latoya's class.
