    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course has helped me improve my writing and research skills. Garawyn has endless techniques to assist students in different skills that will best suit them in their writing. Though it may seem like assignments are just busy work, everything you do in the class will help you.

    Course highlights:

I love the freedom you have to write and choose a topic that interests you. Over the span of this course I have learned several new techniques for research papers and it has made me a better writer.

    Hours per week:

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course was so engaging and the entire time went by so fast because Wilson is so funny and interactive in her teaching style.

    Course highlights:

We learned the basics of college writing, a lot of the coursework we did were on topics that we were able to choose as a class, which is different but I liked that style.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You really just honestly need to do the minimum required amount of work for this class to still get an A, because the assignments are so interesting, if you actually do them I'm sure you'll do well.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would defiantly recommend this course to someone who is looking to going into writing as part of their degree. This class has a lot of writing and so I would only recommend it to people who are willing to write write and write some more. I learned a lot in the course and upped my writing skill a ton.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights from this course would include doing assignments that actually applies to what you are doing. The assignment are what make up half of the papers you write in the class. Another highlight was that you have several discussion boards and you get to talk and learn with the other students in the class. This course taught me how to actually care about what I write and not just do the bare minimum. I started to learn about interviews and how important they really are in writing essays, also that you have to do a lot of research to get the best end result. The biggest and most important thing that I learned in the course was to always edit your papers meticulously. Even if your paper has wonderful and interesting details, people will get distracted and disgusted by several surface errors. Turning a potentially amazing essay into a bad one.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate! this is not a class where you can write you essay the night before its due. The work takes time and commitment. If you don't think you can do that, I would advise you not to take the course. It is a great one, but it is not for everyone.
