    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was a great introduction to the language and to the culture. The teacher is originally from Japan so he knows quite a bit growing up in that environment. He's very funny and makes learning the subject matter interesting.

    Course highlights:

Since I took the class quite a few years ago I've forgotten a lot of the language, but I remember that he was a very engaging teacher who worked hard to make sure that you learned the basics of the language as well as the three different alphabets.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you do the homework and participate in all the language labs outside of class, you will do well. It is one of the hardest languages to learn. The only way to learn it well is doing lots of practice and lots of work.
