This class was tough.
The course is heavy in calculations and if you want to see real world applications with derivatives, unfortunately this course is not for you. Most of the course is self learning. You have to do the unit if you do applied finance.
Learned how to value options using put/call formulas. Exposure to Greek letters and risk neutral adjusting. The short/ long forward contracts are a pain as the marking in Macquarie is very strict, so even if you mention the right answer but it is not written in the formal textbook words, you would get the question wrong. Very few highlights, it's a unit you have to do for a finance degree.

Advice for students:
You have to do the reading and tutorial questions. Furthermore, questions for your mid semester and final is based entirely from the book. Thus read the book like a bible even though it is dry reading.
