    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to all who come to BYU-I. It was very informal and helpful in all aspects of life. It's not an easy class but is very helpful in the real world and can help with so much in individuals lives. It opens the eyes to meaning and reasoning behind behaviors and attitudes. It links emotions to brain activity and function. Overall I believe it is a class that is very excellent and well taught.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about the brain. It really helped me through a lot of hard times during my first semester. I was literally able to put what I learned in that class into practice and understand myself so much better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take good notes!!!!!! Notes are so important and crucial to your success in this class. If you can get your hands on a recorder then do it. Record the lecture and write down anything and everything you can. Everything in the lecture is always on the test in some way. Study right after class. When the information is still fresh in your mind its much easier to study and retain information! Also get sleep! This advice can go for anyone who is in college and attending any class. But it is very important to have enough sleep in order for your brain to function to its full potential.
