    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Brother Dennis teaches with enthusiasm, with real life stories, and makes class fun and personable. With him, learning is a part of him. He teaches you the things you need to do to live a happy, rewarding life.

    Course highlights:

I learned that the scientific parts of caring for children, as well as the emotional parts, and the parts where you grow, are all connected. I learned that while some may thing learning about the development of children is hard, it can be easy as you allow things to all connect.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be yourself! Although it might seem scary at first, it is rewarding! You will learn things that you never thought you'd learn, but make sure you study hard! He will work with you if you're struggling, have faith in yourself!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would reccommend this course to others because it was a wonderful experience. Taking Child Development with Kari Airth was a great learning experience. Her classroom atmosphere was very inviting and interesting. Most of the quizzes/tests are outside the class and sometimes open book. If you read the material you will be prepared for the class assignments and you will succeed in the class. The class presentations and projects were interesting. They were able to best demonstrate our knowledge of the things discussed in class. I would highly recommend taking this class with her!

    Course highlights:

Through this class I learned how to better communicate with children and how to best meet their needs. I gained a stronger appreciation for the growth and development of children even to teenage years. I really enjoyed the class group presentations of the chapters covered in class. It provided a different opportunity to learn the subject matter. Another project included watching a preschool class and observing their behavior. This best demonstrated the things which we were learning in class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is fun and exciting but it does require some time for study. Reading the chapters fully each week will best help you and prepare you for the assignments given during the course and it will best help prepare you for the tests and quizzes.
