Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is honestly a really easy class if you do the reading and write the current event. Don't make the mistake of thinking you can get away with not doing your work though, that is a huge mistake and you WILL fail.

    Course highlights:

The Media's Influence on Congress paper is really important but also super interesting. It takes some time but it isn't research intensive because Sister Kirkham provides all of the data that you need to make a hypothesis, you just have to find a couple sources to back it up. Also, don't slack off on the Current Events or Lesson Assignments because it WILL come back to bite you. Hard.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't slack off. The work is easy if you just do it so do it and you will be fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It helps the student, wither a major in political science or not, become aware of their civic responsibility and duty to this country. That is something that does not changes no matter the major the student is in.

    Course highlights:

The Federalist papers. I love these and how we were able to dig into the principles behind them to the very founding concepts of freedom that began in this country. Along with that I loved the text book, it was the 2014-2015 edition so very recent and we weer able to discuss and debate current topics unlike most american government classes that tend to remain in only the 'american history' focus without applying those principles to current times. We were able to apply to current times and that made all the difference.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read everything he tells you to, especially the syllabus. Also draft your essays soon enough that you can get feedback before they are due and you can improve them. Independent study groups with students from class were very helpful too.
