Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I really liked working with Brother Higgins! He understands family dynamics and has actual practical application in the world of therapy. His classes are fun and engaging. I would very much so recommend taking him, for any class. He also uses a lot of group work which is usually painful but the material is so interesting that I enjoy taking it!

    Course highlights:

Family 160 is a basic over view of the family. You learn about different theories regarding the family and you also learn about paths that you can take within the marriage and family major at BYUI. This class is definitely a good introduction to the major and I would recommend if you are thinking about majoring in Marriage and Family Studies.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to go to class. His in class lectures are what makes the class interesting and important. I know that he posts his assignments and power points but where you learn the best and the most if when you are present in the class room.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was the highlight of my past semester. The class was totally enjoyable and the discussions we had helped me to understand the importance of families and the effects of everything on them.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the discussions. The discussions helped me learn about different experiences that all the students may have experienced. I also enjoyed the activities we were asked to participate in, for instance, watching people (in a good way) to use non-verbal cues to see what stage of relationships the people were in.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be active in the class. Don't forget to read the assigned chapters, and if you do, don't worry about any tests or quizzes. It will be simple if you take the time to learn what he wants you to learn.
