    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Hay is an amazing, kind-hearted man who loves educating, and loves his students. He always mixed humor and personal advice in his lectures, which were both entertaining and informative.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the history and beginnings of the social work field. It's teachings, methodology, and the different aspects that make it such a precious occupation. It was mountains of material to cover, and nightly study sessions, but it was both enjoyable and informative.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Use the tutors, and take detailed notes. Begin studying for the exams as soon as possible.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Brother Roberts is a guy that really loves what he is doing. He worked as a LSW for years and his life experience is great when you are trying to learn what you want to do in the field. There is some reading and boring chapter quizzes but overall, it was a great class and part of the reason I am a social work major now.

    Course highlights:

I would say that I learned the most about what it is really going to be like. I was able to discuss with my class a lot about the aspects of social work that I really like and really dislike. Brother Roberts is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience to help you figure out exactly what you want to do in regards to social work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make it fun! If you don't put in the work then you won't get anything out of the class. Even though the chapter quizzes seem dull and not helpful, if you come to class with questions from the chapters, you will learn so much more than just listening to your classmates.
