Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Brother Melton is hilarious! He makes learning these basic concepts fun and interactive. I would really recommend taking him for this Foundations course; just be prepared for a professor that won't let you slack off!

    Course highlights:

This course was one of the most enlightening I have taken. Taking a science class from a religious university may seem counter-intuitive, but it approaches all major issues from an open minded angle. My testimony of the positive relationship between religion and science grew exponentially upon completion of this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Most FDSCI courses follow the same general course "skeleton" for lessons and homework; so really the only difference between them is the professor. Might as well take it from a professor that will lead you to enjoying the topics!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It was an easy class, but I did not feel like I really learned anything. Much of the online work did not make any sense and there was no application to the real world. It is a required class but I would not recommend it from this teacher. I went to class every day and felt that it was a waste of time.

    Course highlights:

The only fun activity was when we played with vinegar and baking soda. I felt like a child again, and it reminded me of being a little kid scientist. I did not learn much in the course because it all felt irrelevant and much of it was based on principles we learned in elementary school.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it from a different teacher. It is really not worth the stress of trying to figure out what the teacher wants to get an A in the class. Also, it always felt like a waste of time.
