    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot on the subject and also on how to effectively study for and perform on rigorous exams.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the basics and intricacies of how the body and diseases works on a cellular level.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful you have to be invested and spend a lot of time and effort into learning the material on a deep level and memorizing everything. Skimming the material and having a basic knowledge will not suffice.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was so insightful about a lot of the diseases that you will see in the medical field. Baker teaches down to the exact cause and actions happening in the body. It definitely prepared me as I entered the hospital as a student nurse to recognize these different diseases.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were all Baker's powerpoints and handouts that he created for each of us. He drew out processes like immunity and disease processes that really made sense to his students. We learned so much about the human body and immunity down to each different cell.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely find a study group and a white board to help you recreate drawings of different processes and so everyone can put their knowledge together to learn specific concepts. Drawing them out was the best way for me to learn and understand exactly what was going on in the body.
