    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is great and you learn a lot about how to be a better writer. This has been one of my favorite classes.

    Course highlights:

I learn different techniques on how to develop my writing through the writing process. I also learned how to be more efficient in how I work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work. It isn't easy but it is worth it. If you put in the time you can get a lot from this class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is required and is pretty hard for those who are not good at writing. You have to write 4 papers over all and the first two are easier, the last two are difficult. I would suggest not to waist time when you write them, start early. Also have someone who you know or don't know revise your paper. The more people, the better.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course, is that you actually learn how to write. I am not a big fan of writing, but it does feel good to know that you wrote a good paper all by your self.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Writing is tough and asking questions is one way to make sure you are doing what you need to get a good grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a very good course because there was absolutely no busy work! The writing and research skills were applicable for all walks of life and for all of life. This was not a course that was just for college and never to be used again. Though the opportunity to write a research paper might not cross some people's paths after the class is finished, the skills for discerning and being able to do research and critical thinking are essential.

    Course highlights:

It was busy. It certainly was a lot of work and there were 3 weekly deadlines that needed to be worked on continuously. However, the skills for learning how to do each writing assignment was broken into small pieces, it was used as the skill itself, so no busy work. No learn how to do something then have to go do more work to complete the assignment. That was really nice. We learned each piece by working on each piece of the assignment, then feedback and revision.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this course if you're taking a lot of other research or writing courses because there is a lot of writing involved and writing takes time. I took this course with only 1 other class and it was busy. I had deadlines T, Th and Saturday. There were 3 papers due.
