Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

How many times during my life have I used Microsoft Office without knowing the full capabilities of the programs? This class opened my eyes to the potential of Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Access, and it has inspired me to utilize these programs in a far more professional capacity than I had before. Every single class we experienced practical application of these programs, and Dr. Mast's teaching style was both incredibly fun and informative. I fully recommend everyone take this course if you have the opportunity to do so.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to build a database using Microsoft Access, a skill I used to built a costume database for my school. I also learned how to use Excel properly as both a financial tool as well as an organizational tool. And though I've used Word and Powerpoint plenty of times before, Dr. Mast made my jaw drop repeatedly by informing me of shortcuts and tools built into these programs that I had never even seen before.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your work. If you slack on an assignment you will be lost moving forward.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to pursue a higher education in any way. This course helps prepare students, not just for the business world, but for every profession one could think of. The course material includes learning Microsoft programs; what they do, how they work, and how to maximize their use. There is no textbook because the teacher is an expert at what she does. She works with students and is willing to be flexible with busy schedules. 10 out of 10 for both the course and instructor

    Course highlights:

This course was extremely invaluable. I learned not just how to use Microsoft programs, but to maximize their use in order to make my presentations, projects and assignments more effective, practical, and visually appealing. Practical application in every degree field, and should be more widely taught-maybe even a graduation requirement.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your work early and often. Take advantage of the instructors office hours, and ask questions if you have them. Keep the professor up to date if you fall behind, and she will be happy to work with you.
