    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Biology is one course of study so essential in the education of any student. What could be more relevant in a student's life than the study of life itself?! This course specifically offered a broad but intriguing study of the very foundation of biology, it's primary essentials, and its relevancy in modern society.

    Course highlights:

A definite highlight was how accommodating the professor was. At any given point, she was willing to provide resources and assistance where needed, while also maintaining an independent learning atmosphere for the students. Perhaps the most beneficial part of the course was the assignment on Biology in Modern Society. Each student was assigned to research a current environmental issue, and a given solution. I focused my project on environmental impact caused by modern architecture and resource use. As my solution, I used "Green Building" to deter the onslaught of environmental damage.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My strongest advice would be to stay on top of studies. In such a broad course, it can be all too easy to fall behind in the assignments, reading, and homework, so it's optimal to keep ahead. Additionally, study groups can be a fun and enjoyable way to prepare for exams whilst keeping one's mind from drifting, which is a common issue in self study.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class went over all the basics of biology. It was both lecture and lab, at two separate times, and both were open and inviting. I never felt bad asking questions and the instructors were phenomenal. Overall I would recommend this class, especially with Jennifer.

    Course highlights:

Everything was thoroughly taught and it was fun too. The lecture was always interesting, however the lab was my favorite because it's smaller and more hands on. You usually are doing labs that relate to the lecture so everything comes together in the end.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

While this course is a low level class, I would advise anyone interested in it to take it just as seriously as any other class. Slacking off will hurt your grade and that really affects your final grade since there are very few assignments in total. Do your best.
