Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because of the professor. You can tell he really enjoys chemistry. and is willing to meet with you to figure out topics you are not understanding or just life in general. Sometimes the homework load can be a little extreme and he doesn't really understand that you have other more commitments than just his class. With that being sad I really enjoyed having him as a professor, just prepare for long tests and to study a lot. The material itself is not too hard, there is just so much to learn that it become hard.

    Course highlights:

One of the main topics of this course was to learn how to obtain the correct structure from IR and NMR charts. Also learned some chemical reactions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study whenever you can. Do not wait until the night before to study for tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Holman teaches you to KNOW the material inside out, backwards, and forwards. Plus, he is always available to help you with your questions.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to be a better test taker because his exams are 4-5 hours long. I also learned how to do forward and reverse synthesis of carbon based chemical systems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Create the "Transition Functional Notebook" he tells you to make and review it over and over and over again till you know it backwards!!!
