Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it expands your knowledge on how the human brain works and why people are the way they are. This course also allowed me to understand mental disorders that people can have and identify a few of the symptoms of the disorders.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning how different parts of the brain worked and the job of each part of the brain. Although Dr. Creel may seem a little intimidating at first, she is a really good teacher.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Before taking this course make sure you have a good recording device or know how to take notes as the proffessor is talking. One thing that helped me study for the test was making study sets on quizlet.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend for this class that you pay very close attention to the professor. This class is nothing but lectures and tests. The notes you take is your study guide for the test. Make sure you take very good notes and read over the chapters. If you do not do this and fail the test you fail the class. The only assignments given are the test. It really is not a difficult course. I will say though it can be difficult if you make it that way!! I wish you the best of luck!! I enjoyed Dr. Creel's lectures and ways of expressing her thoughts! A very unique class and one that definitely get you brain wheels turning!!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was the memory chapter. I found the way the brain stored information very interesting. I learned that short term memory only last for 20-25 seconds and long term memory last as long as you need it. No matter what you do, if it is stored into long term it will continue to be there forever. I also learned that all the memories you gather in a lifetime will not be capable to fill up the potential capacity of long term memory.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course, you need to consider whether or not you are willing to write down notes and pay close attention to what you hear. There are no powerpoints just lecture. You really should think of what you want and are willing to do in a class setting of this sort.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I have taken this course online. I would recommend this course and this professor to anyone because no only does she make sure that you have read the chapter, but in her discussion forum she asks a question that really makes sure you understand the chapter. It is a question that makes you think outside the box.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about the workings of the brain rather than just the symptoms of the disease. I knew the some people were psycho or narcissistic, but now I understand how their brain works to make them this way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Really read the chapter. Make sure that you understand what you are reading.
