    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely helpful and useful, but the teacher was not qualified to be teaching the course. It is a self taught class, but extremely fun and rewarding if you are into biology. My favorite part was learning about the anatomy of the human body. As a nursing major, I love the body and everything it does. This course offers fun labs to help you learn more about your body and all the cool things it does.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about my body in this class. Why it does the things it does and what it should be doing. The anatomy part of this course is fun and exciting. You do creative labs about this subject like engage your reflexes and examine your pulse.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class you will have to put in all the time you can. If you have an extra 10 minutes, read the assignment (maybe even reread it). Do the homework and make sure you understand it. If you need help in the class, do not be afraid to ask for help. This class builds so if you do not understand something at the beginning of the semester, you are not going to understand what is going on at the end of the semester.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great teacher! She explains things thoroughly and her power points really provide a great structure for studying. She also provides actual study guides for each Exam, to include on for the Cumulative portion on the final. Also, since it was a larger class, she had a peer tutor available to us once a week to review any material that we didn't understand or had questions on if she moved too quickly. That was a great help! Very approachable professor and class moved at a moderate pace.

    Course highlights:

This course covers all Biology of Organisms. Evolution, through Ecology. There were lots of new terminology, and a lot of information to cover in a semester, but it was very enjoyable. We are Humans, obviously, but to know that in the scope of things we have only been on Earth for relatively a short time (like the last 10 seconds in the Earth was an hour long.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the material every week. There is NO way you will get it all or get an "A" cramming for this class. There is just way too much new terminology and orders to memorize. Use acronyms to memorize clades and Flash cards were my best friend. Also...do the Chapter review tests at the end of the chapters...I saw some very similar questions on Exams.
