    | Would highly recommend.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend this course because the professor reviewed many things that are vital for college English courses as well as other college courses in general. The skills we learned and practices will help us in many areas over the years to come.

    Course highlights:

    There was a strong focus on grammar as well as writing; we wrote about 2-4 long essays and had numerous in-class​ writing activities as well that were all extremely beneficial.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    I advise that you would remember to put effort into your work and complete any homework/work for class because it will only benefit you and your learning experience even more.

    Course Overview:

    ENG 101 has to be a highlight of my semester. Not only did I learn more about my own writing skills and tendencies but I was also able to exhibit the skills I already have in writing. The Professor actually wanted to help each of her students grow in their own abilities instead of having us all write the same.

    Course highlights:

    Highlights of the course were, one-on-one meetings with the professor. You would set up a time and then she would help you with the topic you chose for the specific paper. Another highlight is she started off the semester with a paper that was about her students. We each wrote a descriptive essay about something memorable that happened in our lives and it really helped us to get excited about writing. Finally, she never used red ink on your paper. While that may sound dumb, it actually helps. I have never been so happy to receive a paper that had purple or pink ink instead of red. It helped me lose some of my anxiety when writing.

    Advice for students:

    Actually do the work, and ask questions. Professor Miller is a very understanding and helpful person and she really wants her students to grow as writers while in her class. Also go to the one-on-one meeting. It will help you.
