Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This class has great in class and in lab portions. In class, Dr. Watts examples everything with the just the right amount of detail. She is very clear about what you are required to know for the exams. In lab, instructions are very clear and we are given plenty of time to practice our skills.
I really liked the journal discussions in this class. We discussed peer reviewed articles relating to what we had learned in class. These discussions taught me how to read and analyze scientific articles and allowed me to talk about articles in a professional setting. I also liked the independent group lab at the end of the semester. My group was able to design and conduct an experiment. We learned how to handle when things do not go as planned during the experiment and to present our findings to our professor and peers.

Advice for students:
Make sure to print out the notes before class and pay close attention during the lecture. Before journal discussions, take time to slowly read the article, highlighting and taking careful notes. In lab, do not rush through to finish but take your time to learn how to do the procedure well.
