    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I was hesitant to take this course online, because I wasn't sure how interactive the teacher would be if I needed help (for someone who isn't great a math, this was extremely important). However, not only was she helpful, she provided great resources in the content area, and responded quickly to students when needed. The teacher also encouraged us to team up on assignments and use the discussion board to clarify concepts, she would also chime in to support us if we were correct and offer tips if we were incorrect. My tip for the assignments is to READ THE QUESTION CAREFULLY! There is nothing worse than missing out on easy points because you didn't read the entire question. I paired up with a classmate the first week of the course and we worked together on assignments to help prevent this.

    Course highlights:

Learning how to use the solver tool on Excel was awesome. I use it all the time now for my job.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're hesitant about online quantitative courses like I was, I recommend utilizing video resources before hand. Order the book and have it on hand at least a week before class and use the syllabus to familiarize yourself with concepts before class starts.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Would recommend taking this course with Hageman. It's a difficult course but the instructor provides many useful resources to help you grasp the topics. SAVE your work in Excel often!

    Course highlights:

Lots of work in Excel (using risk solver add-in). Linear programming, sensitivity and probability analysis, regression analysis, queuing theory, and risk assessment pertaining to management decisions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Faithfully read and use the information available in the content area. It will be a life-saver as the text can be a bit confusing. Read assignment instructions carefully. It's easy to miss a required part of a problem if you don't. Don't wait too long after taking a college algebra course to take this one.
