Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course does a great job of helping students find their voice in the fashion industry. Virginia helps students do this through various collaborative opportunities with professionals in the field of the arts. One of these opportunities is dressing the Agora statues in Grant Park. She also gives class mates the ability to offer feed back on every assignment made. Lastly, she utilizes her time to have one on one time with each student asking them what they feel their grade should be and why? Overall this course is excellent because you can tell that she really is passionate about her students and what she does. A passionate professor is always a great professor.

    Course highlights:

I have gained confidence in my craft through this course. Many times I would doubt my artistic ability because I never felt good enough or comfortable presenting my work to others. This was the first class I had to open up and do that because my grade depended on it. Not only did my grade depend on it but there is something about Virginia's tone that gives you confidence to do better. She teaches you a lot of ins and outs in the field maybe thats why. You know that saying when you know better you do better? This is basically Virginia.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students considering this course is to take advantage of the resources Virginia gives you because not every professor is going to be compassionate as her. Also take the time to develop a relationship with her. Thats probably the best thing you could do.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is extremely helpful in learning about the basics of fashion. Not only do you learn about the business side of fashion but you also learn a little about the design side too.

    Course highlights:

From this course I understood better about trend forecasting, how designers work and what their process is, and the behind scenes of fashion such as setting up fashion shows and even the history of fashion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to everything Pam says; it is all relevant and she knows exactly what she's talking about. Also put effort into your projects; she'll know if you didn't
