    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Comp 274 is a Object oriented Java class. You will learn how to use user interface through JFrames that include how to set up the window and use action listeners. There is so much valuable information this course offers to computer programmers I couldn't possibly list it all. I can add that if you have taken copm122 and comp 220 which are C++ courses, you are ready for Java.

    Course highlights:

This course builds off of the C++ prerequisites. So, Java isn't that different than C++. In Comp 274, some of the highlights include; user interface, GUI components, action listener events, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstract classes.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always get an early start because some projects will take a while to complete. If you get behind, turn in what you can and move forward. Each weeks assignment leads into the next weeks assignment.
