Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a very insightful class. It was my first design class and I learned so much.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was watching the weekly lectures. We were able to do our homework right along side of the professor and also pause the video while we did our work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to watch the lectures, you will learn so much by watching them and will save time and energy by watching them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a fantastic class to get you familiarized with Adobe Illustrator and its hardest tool to use, the pen tool. This tool and program is used a lot in graphic design and getting a good start is important. The professor was great and the projects were fun but challenging. You start out, presumably, not knowing anything about Illustrator. But through projects like using the pen tool to trace cartoon characters, copying works of art and such, you get much better at it pretty quickly.

    Course highlights:

One of the first projects you do is copying a piece of art using the tools in Illustrator. I chose something that seemed relatively easy but when you don't know how to use the tools, it's a bit more challenging than it seems. By the end of the project I was able to use the tools to create my own unique pieces, a skill that would be used heavily in the next two classes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Download Illustrator ahead of time if you can and start practicing with the pen tool. The school computers should have the program on it already, the Apple computers for sure do. Use those if you don't have access to your CC account yet.
