    Course Overview:

    This was my second course with Professor Smith online at DeVry. He is very apt and providing his online students with the basics of information needed to succeed in his class by sharing what he knows and encouraging students to participate and always ask questions.

    Course highlights:

    In this class we learned more about diseases and how they affect the human body. As a HIT professional having a knowledge of diseases and disorder will better assist us do our jobs in assisting physicians and/or medical facility provide continuum of care to patients.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    For anyone looking at becoming a medical biller, coders or HIT professional, this is a required class you will need to obtain your degree. The knowledge gained in this class will benefit beyond the class room into your profession.

    This course taught us alot about diseases without being too complicated or difficult to understand.

    Course highlights:

    Thanks to the course project you will gain a thorough understanding of a chosen disease, from the cause and transmission to the treatment and prognosis.

    Always do the reading and put some time into the case studies and critical thinking questions.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend this course to students because it teaches you about the different parts of the body. I am going to school for medical billing and coding. You will need to know the different parts of the body and learn about different diseases.

    Course highlights:

    The highlight of the courses was learning the different types diseases and the case studies on different people that have the diseases.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Take time do your assignments and learn the diseases.
