    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course. Taking it really changed the way I think, the way I view the world, and the way I make choices and live my life.

    Course highlights:

Learning about ethics and different ethical theories was very interesting, as you could where the different ideas came from, and how different ideas weren't necessarily in conflict with one another. I also enjoyed learning about vegetarianism and veganism when we touched on it in class, and it helped give me the final push to make the switch!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep an open mind! Don't be scared to ask questions, either.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is great. He truly cares about what you talk about in this course, and is very passionate about it. He is very hard on you, and believes that just because it is a community college, doesn't mean you should be let off the hook easy. I learned a lot from this class, and knew pretty much nothing about it when I decided to sign up for it.

    Course highlights:

My highlight was going to the Steger Wilderness Center. You are required to do a service learning project, and the Steger Center was an option for one of them. We went there and learned about how Will Steger lived of the land and did everything environmentally friendly. I learned so much about the problems we face, and are going to be facing with the environment. We learned about different ways that we could try to combat the problems, and how they will and do affect everyone. It was very eye opening.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read read read. It is very important. All of the discussions are based off of the reading, and being able to understand them. Also, plan out your essays very well. He gives you a sheet of like 6 essay questions that you have to plan for, and then you will have to write them in class. So plan plan plan. He is a hard grader, because he wants you to be good, so you have to truly work for the grade he is going to give you. Which is nice to have someone want you to be the best you can.
