    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class really reignited my love of learning. I took it over the summer, so it was a jam-packed 6 weeks of non-stop chemistry. This was a fun class!

    Course highlights:

I learned how much work college would be for me. I learned about all things Chemistry, and my kids and I had a lot of fun with the labs!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you have enough time to devote to this course in your schedule. It is a lot of listening to lectures and figuring things out.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor was amazing! He explained everything very well and did lots of demonstrations of experiments in class. As long as you show up to class, you should succeed (because missing even a day would be missing so much information). If you don't understand something, the prof would either help you during his office hours or would give you information about where you could get help somewhere else. I never fell asleep in that class because we were always doing something and the prof was personable.

    Course highlights:

I learned at lot about how chemistry connects to our everyday lives. Chemistry seems like this other language sometimes, and it was nice to have everything broken down into manageable pieces that we could relate our life to. There was a big chapter on organic chemistry and that was probably the most fun- learning about how soap is made (and actually making our own in lab). It was tough information to learn, but it was taught in such a way that it almost felt easy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

GO. TO. CLASS. The professor puts notes online so its tempting to miss, but don't do it. Another big one: find a study group, preferably ones that are in the same class hours as you. Its so much easier to study in a group than by yourself, especially with this class.
