    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ms.Slone is one of the nicest teachers I've had in a while. She's very lenient with certain assignments and gives you plenty of chances to complete them. She is always eager to help students with any questions they had and would respond as soon as possible to emails I would send her.

    Course highlights:

The one thing I remember from the course is the fun experiments she had us complete and record for assignments. Mostly making the bacteria to place in Petri dishes to incubate for a few days.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Plan ahead what days you will do what assignment. In most cases, you can complete 2 or so experiments a week.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took two classes this past spring that was conducted by Jane Slone. I took Microbiology and Intro to Nutrition. I would have enjoyed these classes, however she has poor judgement on her grading system. I typed a 12pg nutrition report and she gave me a "C" and when I did the Micro Unknown report she gave me a 95% as I had one slide out of 50 slides in the wrong position! ONE slide. This teacher grades on a 4yr university standard with NO EXCEPTIONS on these freshmen/sophomore classes. I strongly recommend taking these courses that do not involve her!

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed doing the in-home lab home work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

With the option to choose a different teacher, I recommend studying and reading the book thoroughly. Following the lab manual and ASKING questions is a bonus to being successful!!
