    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I went into this course without the slightest knowledge of Accounting. This course is laid out in a way that allows you to be guided through the process of learning accounting. Learning accounting in an online setting with video help and online homework that let's you know when and where you mess up makes it easier to understand where you may need more help, or what area of accounting you could stand to study more.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was the fact that I did not have to learn accounting through lectures, PowerPoint presentations, etc. I was able to learn at my own pace with interactive help and guidance. That is a very big deal, no matter who you are! I had the opportunity to learn about the importance of balance sheets, income statements, general ledgers, etc. All of the things that keep a business organized and on the right financial path! This was especially helpful because I want to open my own business in the future, so this information was vital to learn.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to any student entering this course or consider the course is to STUDY STUDY STUDY. You must utitilize and take full advantage of every provided vide, image, and exercise. Each of these things hold vital and useful information. If you do not completely understand the concepts and factors that make up a company's assets, liabilities and equities, you will be destined for failure. Those are probably the three most important things that you MUST understand.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is intense and requires a lot of time outside of class, but the extra material given by the professor really makes sense and helps when understanding the material.

    Course highlights:

I learned the principles of Accounting as well as how to use accounting in a financial way.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Take your time. The problems and material are going to be difficult. Which means that you will have to put in the time to do well in the class or your grades will show it.
