    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course included so many fascinating time periods to study and learned a lot about the foundations of Western society.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights included time period projects, essays and time period presentations which were really helpful when focusing on one specific time period to dig into and study!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Dedicate much time in research including outside sources. Research is key to having a lot to say in essays and projects.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course, as it provided me with an excellent textbook and materials as well as a great professor, but one downfall of the course was that the book was not from a Christian perspective. The textbook was, in fact, biased against Christianity and got some details of Christian history incorrect.

    Course highlights:

The course gave a great overview of how western civilization developed since B.C. 500 up to A.D. 1789. It gave a fairly detailed history of major events, people, and other aspects such as philosophy and learning.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of things -- be sure to get assignments in before their due date, and always do the reading. Also, be sure to have a strong Christian foundation, so you aren't misled by some of the things the book says against Christianity.
