Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone entering into college, regardless if you are a STEM major or not. Not only is the course material so interesting and mind-stretching, but the professor who teaches it is wonderful at explaining the information in a digestible and comprehensive way. Taking this course will not disappoint.
Course highlights:
The highlights of this course was sitting under a professor who not only loved the material he taught, but also was highly capable of teaching it. I gained a deeper, more meaningful understanding of mathematics from taking this course.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
In this course, there is homework almost everyday, but it is not required and you will not have to hand it in. However, I would highly encourage that the homework be done. Learning the material rests heavily on practicing the material. The only way to do that (other than graded tests and quizzes) is by doing the homework. Also, I would recommend going to office hours when a topic is hard to understand. The professor is just as good, if not better, one-on-one as he is in the classroom.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would highly recommend this course. I love the study of Calculus. It helps you to think and appreciate the world around you.
Course highlights:
I learned about how the next steps beyond algebra. I learned how to do derivatives and find limits. It applied trigonometry and algebra.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
I would advise students to know their algebra well. They should always go to every class and review session. I would also advise working hard outside of class as well, and to not be afraid to ask for help.
