Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you have any interest in counseling those who are hurting this is a terrific course. It challenges what you think you know and gives insight to crisis response and trauma counseling.

    Course highlights:

I learned more than I can describe here but one important part of my learning experience was learning how to take care of myself as a crisis counselor. Not only did I learn about interacting to people in the midst of a trauma and potential crisis but I learned about the challenges to the responders as well.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Thoroughly read all of the material and take lots of notes. I also found it helpful to take notes on all the lectures as well. I found myself referring to my notes, even those from previous weeks, on a regular basis.
