    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course gives a foundational understanding of child development and behavioral stages. It establishes the principles of working with children and their parents in the counseling setting and advocating for child welfare and safety.

    Course highlights:

The course text books and assignments were very valuable tools to build skills in interacting with children and their parents. I learned how to assess, diagnose, develop a treatment plan, and provide therapy for children.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You will need to read and reread the required reading and study for the exams. There are many writing assignments so make sure you work on them and don't get behind!
