Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a requirement for my degree, so that's why I had to take it. But it is a very interesting class with relevant information. If more people understood what mental illnesses really are and how difficult they can be to live with and to treat, maybe some of the stigma surrounding these illnesses wouldn't exist.

    Course highlights:

You not only learn how to identify disorders through the DSM, but the different ways they manifest. For me it took a lot of the fear of mental illnesses away because I understood how they worked better, and gave me perspective into what it could be like to live with them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do the work. Keep up with the reading and assignments, and you should do just fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is required for my degree, so I'm biased. Dr. Scott is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. He cares about his students. I've taken this course before under another professor, and while he was definitely knowledgeable, he's just not my style. Dr. Scott is a wonderful professor, and this class is very informative and interesting.

    Course highlights:

Helps you to not only identify disorders per the DSM, but some ways the symptom manifests.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work. Just do it. If you keep up with the reading and assignments, you'll do fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this to everyone, because it is an requirement and would benefit the student tremendously in the future. It was quite challenging and worth it in the long-run.

    Course highlights:

Learning and applying the knowledge into real-life circumstances. Taking that next step to making it happen for the better.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It is required class and worth every moment spent and would greatly benefit you in the near future upon completion for your degree.
